True art is always…

“That’s the measure of real art, true art is always a window to the divine. Is always, if you’re sensitive enough to perceive it, even if you aren’t, you can be affected by it…. It’s not a question of what you’re aware of as much as what is the real affect? In all true art, all great art, is an opening toward the divine, an opening in to what is. That, in that moment, transforms people, gives them expanded awareness to be able to make contact. If anything gives you that feeling it is art and it is great art…

This is why artists are often misunderstood in western society, because it’s not commonly understood that artists are mystics. Artists are purveyors of the divine. And real artists, career artists who are recognized in the art world as great artists, all their best works have that quality—immediately transform the viewer, whether the viewer is sensitive enough to be aware of it or not.”

Swami Premodaya founded of the International Centers of Divine Awakening in 2004 in response to a calling to make himself available to people spiritually. Through his loving guidance, I overcame tremendous suffering and now live a natural, fulfilled and happy life, which, to my delight, includes the discovery of becoming an artist.
